Tina Biggs was born in Queensland on the Sunshine Coast but has navigated arts communities in both New Zealand and Melbourne. She has developed her skills most intensively since moving to Portland in 2010. Tina engaged non formal arts training primarily in the areas of drawing, printmaking and painting and formally completed a Bachelor of Arts with a visual arts major in 2014. Tina finds the natural and industrial landscapes of Portland to be an ongoing source of inspiration. The stories and people of Portland provide a narrative for Tina’s work that form images indicative of mere documentation rather than interpretation. Tina is an active and enthusiastic member of her local arts community where she continues to develop technical skill and ability. She has been a member of Portland Bay Press since 2011 and printmaking processes remain a primary focus of her work. Tina is Married with two children Eve and Adalita and currently lives and works in Portland, Victoria.
