“The name MUD grew from a rural ‘salt of the earth’ essence, with a creative quirky twist. Paying homage to the mud brick buildings at the H.I.R.L complex on boundary road, MUD conjured up images of growth; of beauty emerging from the mud; like the artists we showcase growing in their artistic endeavours.

The abundance of elements that make up a big chunk of mud symbolises the amazing melting pot of art and artisans we represent. The fun and freedom of creativity and making mud pies as children. The wonderful rural lifestyle we are gifted, and the privileges that come with living a creative life in the country.”
