What is on offer?

Off The Rails Dunkeld Artist Residency program now open for applications.

OTR Dunkeld invites artists to apply to work in the newly renovated c1875 Dunkeld railway station art space which has been converted into a fully accessible, open plan, light-filled studio. Artists can reside anywhere in Australia or overseas and emerging, mid-career and established artists are encouraged to apply. Artists working in any medium may apply though there are limitations to the space. Get in touch with organisers if you have questions.

Successful applicants will gain the exclusive use of OTR for up to one month and are encouraged to create a pop-up exhibition at the end of their stay. Artists who would like to offer the Dunkeld community an artist talk or small workshop during the course of their stay will be considered favourably.

The space measures 13.6 x 5 metres and features climate controlled air conditioning, excellent lighting and includes a desk, chair, and artist easel if desired.

The residency includes the use of an additional undercover outdoor area with adjacent kitchenette, toilet and storage facilities.

The adjoining kitchenette provides artists with a fridge, sink, microwave and tea/coffee making facilities.

OTR is a 2 minute walk from the town centre shops (including a Mitre 10 Hardware store) and cafes.

Please note accommodation and assistance with travel costs are not included, however, we can provide a list of places to stay nearby to suit a range of budgets.
