The Artery-Warrnambool is pleased to announce ‘Liquid Distance’ an exhibition of recent paintings, studies and small fictions by twice Warrnibald winner, Madeleine Peters.

Madeleine Peters describes the motivation behind her paintings:

“They are an examination of the desire to mythologise the past and future states of known landscapes. A celebration and condemnation of a regional city with a slowly shifting identity. The majority of works are derived from encounters at night; navigating a 2.5 km area stretching from a lake to a highway…”
